Biography

Born in Burbank, California, in 1970, Steve Cooper completed a distinguished 18-year career in the U.S. Army serving in the infantry and law enforcement.

After military service, Steve served as a college professor and college president, CEO for several businesses, and as a director on various national boards. In 2008 Steve founded Veterans Boot Camp which trained veterans seeking employment. In 2015 Steve founded Fort Veteran, a nonprofit organization offering veterans free prostate screenings and helping veterans get access to private sector doctors via the Choice Program.

Steve attended and was recognized by President Trump at the VA Mission Act signing ceremony at the White House in 2018. Steve was the first person in the world to complete a 140.6-mile Ironman triathlon during radiation and did the same the following year during chemotherapy.
