Biography

Born in Mesa, Arizona in 1947, Richard Morrison served in the US Navy as a Naval Aviator for six years. Richard then practiced water and environmental law, negotiating many water rights agreements to ensure a sustainable water supply for Arizona residents. Richard is the Co-Founder of the Morrison Institute of Public Policy and of its Kyl Center for Water Policy, which focuses on state and regional water issues. He also founded the NAU Institute for Public and Professional Ethics in Leadership. Richard has served on numerous boards and commissions including the Arizona Community Foundation, ASU ROTC Advisory Board, Desert Botanical Garden, and the East Valley Partnership. Richard Morrison, a veteran and community leader with a strong commitment to public service and education, has truly enhanced Arizona’s quality of life.
