Biography

Born in Marion, Ohio in 1941, Trish Carlisle-Thompson was assigned as a Communication Center Specialist with the Army Signal Corps, Fort Ritchie, Maryland. After Trish and her family moved to Arizona, she became a regular volunteer in Sun City, visiting WWII veterans, and at the State Veteran Home Phoenix where she visits the resident veterans, widows, and widowers. As an Honor Guard and Color Guard volunteer, Trish has honored hundreds of veterans at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, and the Holy Cross Cemetery, Phoenix. She is a longtime member of American Legion Post 29 and has also served as Past Commander, Post 61 in Avondale, and Post 53 in Buckeye, leading and supporting Post activities. Trish Carlisle-Thompson is a regular volunteer helping children with disabilities at the Bumble Bee Ranch, Mayer, Arizona.
