Biography

Born in Kankakee, Illinois in 1948, Jim Consolato enlisted in the US Air Force in 1968, serving nearly 4 years as a jet aircraft maintenance specialist and crew chief at the former George AFB, Victorville, Cali¬fornia. Jim’s civilian career included 28 years with Southern Califor¬nia Gas Company, Los Angeles. Upon retirement, Jim and his family moved to Mohave County where Jim accepted the challenge, in 2015, of volunteering as a Kingman Veterans Treatment Court Mentor help¬ing veterans with issues such as PTSD, substance abuse, and domestic violence. Jim is currently the Senior Mentor Coordinator in Kingman; of 67 veterans in the program, 35 have graduated and are productive citizens. As part of Central Church–Kingman’s Celebrate Recovery Program, a 12- step faith-based program, Church Leader Jim Consolato has established a Welcome Home Program for veterans.
