(1926-2018) Born in Lawton, Oklahoma, in 1926. Retired from U.S. Army as Lieutenant Colonel. Played major role in obtaining Southern Arizona Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Sierra Vista. Active participant in local American Legion food distribution program for the disadvantaged. Assists with Arizona Senior Olympics. Continues dialog with Fort Huachuca and local veterans organizations with regards to many ongoing veterans issues. Provides information from the Military Officers Association of America to all personnel at Ft. Huachuca including Active Army, Guard, Reserve, and their families. Served as the Grand Marshal for the 2003 Sierra Vista Veterans Day Parade. Served on Superintendent’s Community Cabinet for Palominas School District – led implementation of school hot lunch program. Volunteers with the Sierra Vista School District’s Buena High School Junior ROTC program.
