Biography

Born in Covington, Kentucky in 1959, Sandy Raynor served in the US Army for 31 years, retiring in Phoenix in 2014 as a Colonel in Military Intelligence. After 9/11, Sandy coordinated thousands of care packages to deployed servicemembers. An active leader in the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) since 2015, she initiated many activities supporting youth and veterans. For six years, Sandy Raynor was an active member of the Phoenix VA Voluntary Services Committee who engaged DAR chapters in supporting the annual Sunrise Memorial Service at Piestewa Peak Park in Phoenix every March, as well as donating items to Cinderella’s Closet and the Airman’s Attic at Luke AFB; and donating clothing, lap blankets, hygiene items, funds, and bicycles to veterans and active duty servicemembers in need.
