Born in Los Angeles, California in 1944, Mike Milliken served in the US Army from 1966 to 1969. A graduate of Artillery OCS, he was an executive officer and instructor at the Fort Sill NCO Academy. A retired tennis club owner and boat captain, Mike volunteers his time extensively: 9 years at St. Mary’s Food Bank, preparing 5,000 meals for underprivileged children; 13 years as an integral part of the Veterans Medical Leadership Council (VMLC) team that has raised over $3,000,000 to assist veterans in need. He has coordinated reservations and registrations at numerous veteran functions. Mike Milliken organizes monthly church golf outings that raise thousands of dollars a year to help families at Christmas; he was also part of a Christian Mission team which traveled to Haiti to help build a much-needed orphanage.
