Biography | Born in Utica, New York in 1945, Bob Conte served in the US Army communications and electronics field with overseas service in Korea, Germany, and the Gulf War, retiring as a First Sergeant. A Life Member of DAV Fry Chapter 14, Bob served as Chapter Service Officer for 9 years helping veterans file claims for earned VA benefits. Since 2009, Bob, an active member of Elks Lodge 2065, has chaired committees sponsoring programs in support of law enforcement, firefighters, homeless veterans, and healthy, drug-free children. From 2011-2014, Bob chaired the Elks Food Bank Committee which delivers donated food to the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul for distribution to the community. In 2018 Bob Conte chaired the Elks Veterans Committee which provides clothing to homeless veterans, books to veteran patients, and equipment loan service supporting disabled veterans. |
