Biography | Born in Dublin, Ireland in 1951, Patrick J. Connell enlisted in the US Marine Corps in 1970 and served two tours of duty in Vietnam. Pat was employed as a Nebraska police officer before joining the Phoenix VA Medical Center in 1981, serving 31 years. A member of the Board of Directors which constructed the Sports Complex at the Prescott VA Medical Center, Pat is now focused on serving as the Donations Director for the Phoenix VA Medical Center, and also establishing a Fisher House adjacent to the Tucson VA Medical Center. A member of the Marine Corps League, Old Breed Detachment, he participates in the Marine Corps Honor Guard and the Marine Corps Wounded Warrior Program. Pat continues to support Mary Ellen’s Place, affordable housing for women veterans, and the Joe Foss Institute. |
