Born in Lincoln, Nebraska in 1953, Nancy Fassbender served in the Army National Guard from 1975 to 1978 as Specialist, E-4.

Nancy’s civic accomplishments are many: she has been a volunteer at assisted living facilities and memory care centers in the valley, and at the Pinal County Annual StandDown. She is the author of “My Fallen Hero”. She organizes the Veterans Day celebrations in Gold Canyon.

Since 2010, Nancy has served as an active Board Member and Historian of the Pinal County Veterans Memorial Foundation where she has helped to raise monies for the Memorial. She has partnered with the 50th Vietnam War Commemoration where she has planned and organized events thanking Vietnam Veterans. Starting in 2017, Nancy has served as an active member of the Apache Junction Chamber of Commerce.
