Born in Louisville, Kentucky in 1946, Martha Kuhns served as an Army nurse in Vietnam.  She is a nurse at MGA Homecare in Scottsdale. Since 1990, Martha is an active member of the Women’s Overseas Service League, having served as President, Phoenix Cholla Unit; National Secretary for two years; and National President for five years.  Martha has advocated for legislation affecting veterans.  Martha supported the annual Military Women Veterans Luncheon for twenty years.  As a Life Member and Past President, Chapter 432, Vietnam Veterans of America, Martha is an enthusiastic volunteer at the Maricopa County StandDown for several years.  Martha still finds time to volunteer at Crosswinds Presbyterian Church’s Family Promise Program which feeds homeless families four times per year.  Martha Kuhns is a role model for volunteer services to the community.
