Biography | Born in Chicago, Illinois, in 1932. Served in the U.S. Navy, 1951-55. Following discharge, graduated from college and began a 34 year career with Nutone, Inc. Sustained lifetime commitment from Cub Scout to Eagle Scout, became a Scoutmaster and member of the Bay Area Scout Counsel. Active in Bnai Brith and instrumental in bringing Soviet Jews to the U.S. Worked with underprivileged children and provided low cost housing for seniors. Established first Habitat for Humanity in Costa County, CA. Active in Jewish War Veterans, serves on the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona Board, recognized for support to Carl T. Hayden and Bob Stump VA Medical Centers, and Arizona State Veteran Home. First recipient of A&E Television Network “Lives That Make a Difference” award. Involved with Bosom Buddies for breast cancer survivors, Special Olympics, Muscular Dystrophy, and Phoenix Children’s Hospital. |
