| Biography | Born in Augusta, AR in 1950, Larry “Jet” Jackson served as a Fighter Pilot, USAF for 20 years, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel in 1993. He is a retired airline captain, Southwest Airlines. Larry is a Past Chairman of the Board of Directors for The Organization of Black Aerospace Professionals (OBAP). He currently serves as the Phoenix, AZ OBAP Aerospace Career Education (ACE) Academy Director. The Academy has proudly introduced over 400 young people to the wonders of aviation and aerospace in the past 25 years. In 2006 the Archer-Ragsdale Arizona Chapter (ARAC) of Tuskegee Airmen Inc. (TAI) was established in Arizona; ARAC’s mission as a nonprofit organization is to preserve, honor, and promote the legacy of the historic Tuskegee Airmen. Larry Jackson, a founding member of ARAC, is proud to have served five years as Chapter President. |
