Born in Lynwood, California in 1957, Kathy Buonocore served as a Telecommunications Operations Chief and Transmission Systems Operator in the US Army for 20 years, retiring as a Master Sergeant. Her civilian career is that of Director, Regional Computer Response Team, Fort Huachuca, Arizona. Her civic accomplishments include volunteering for several organizations: Friends of the Sierra Vista Animal Shelter; Meals on Wheels; Lieutenant Governor, President, and Vice President, Kiwanis Club; the Alternate Dispute Resolution program; Better Bucks of Sierra Vista; PFLAG Sierra Vista Chapter; and Cochise Bicycle Advocates. Support to Veterans organizations include leadership positions in Velo-Vets of Sierra Vista; Fry Chapter 14, Disabled American Veterans; and Chapter 95, Women’s Army Corps Veterans Association – Army Women United, Sierra Vista. Kathy Buonocore is a dedicated community volunteer and an exceptional leader.
