Biography | Born in Chicago, Illinois in 1943, Jim Zawacki served in the US Air Force as a Staff Sergeant Command-and-Control Technician from 1964-1972. Prior to moving to Arizona, Jim served in the Alaska House of Representatives for 6 years. Jim is an active member of Elks Lodge 2090 and Moose Lodge 2650 in Show Low where he supports youth and veteran activities; he assists the Elks with their Easter Egg Hunt, and the Clothe-A-Child Christmas Party. Jim helped the Community Childrens Annual Halloween “Trunk or Treat” and has worked the Show Low Christmas Light Parade. Since 2017 he works the Memorial Day Flag Placing at White Mountain Cemeteries. Jim Zawacki is Chairman of the Annual “9/11” White Mountain “Patriot Day Memorial” which remembers and honors our fallen Americans on that fateful day. |
