Biography | Born in Graham, Texas in 1949, Jane Strain served in the U.S. Army, 1975 to 1995; Signal Corps, 9 leadership positions over 6 tours of duty in Germany and 3 years at Fort Huachuca, Arizona; retiring with the rank of Major. Jane’s civic contributions include: 1998-Present, Trustee, Cochise Community College Governing Board; 2008 and 2012; Appointee to the Appellate Court Commission by Governors Janet Napolitano and Jan Brewer; 2016-2020, Chair, Arizona Association of Community College Trustee Board; 2008-2018, Member of the First Things First Council. Jane’s current veterans advocacy efforts include Past President, Women’s Army Corps San Pedro Chapter 95; Member, Congressman Ciscomani’s Veterans Advisory Council; and Director, Military Officers Association of America Surviving Spouses. Jane Strain is a Flinn-Brown Fellow, one of a distinguished public service talent pool serving the people of Arizona. |
