Born in Fort Morgan, Colorado in 1944. Enlisted in the Navy Reserve in 1962 and achieved Petty Officer Third Class. Commissioned Ensign in 1966. Served in the Mekong Delta; released from active duty in 1969. Served 34 years in the Navy Reserve including 7 assignments as Unit Commanding Officer. Captain, USN (Retired) in 1996. Consultant, and Project Manager for Motorola. Former Chair, Town of Gilbert, Planning Commission. Founder, Town of Gilbert Veterans Day Celebration. Past Chair, Chandler/Gilbert Family YMCA Board. Volunteer for nonprofit organizations. Graduate and former board member of Scottsdale and Gilbert Leadership programs. Life Member, Navy League of the U.S. Former Regional Director of the Naval War College Foundation. Liaison between the U.S. Navy and Arizona State University, resulting in NROTC Unit commissioning in Fall 2010.
