| Biography | Born in Phoenix, Arizona in 1959, John Ramirez served in the US Army for twenty-seven years, including duty in various overseas assignments and retired in 2004 as Brigade Command Sergeant Major. John currently serves the University of Phoenix students and faculty as Dean of Operations, College of Doctoral Studies. John’s community involvement is amazing: Mentor, ASU Student Chapter of the Association of Latino Professionals for America; Member, American Association of Hispanics in Higher Education; Council of Colleges and Military Educators; National Association of Institutions for Military Education Services; and American Society for Industrial Security; and Board Member of the Arizona Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. John Ramirez also currently serves as Vice President of the Board of Directors of Honoring America’s Veterans, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization which plans and carries out the annual Phoenix Veterans Day Parade. |
