Biography

Born in New York City, New York in 1930, John Macrone served in the New York Army National Guard and the U.S. Army including service in Germany and South Korea.  John dedicates his time and personal funds to assist veterans, their families, and his community.  He actively supports the Navy Relief Fund, the Paralyzed Veterans of America, and the Arizona National Guard’s Valentine’s Day dinner honoring the service of soldiers and their spouses.  John is an eminent craftsman who has designed and donated prized miniature collections to military personnel and Commanders in Chief Reagan and Trump.  In 2003 he built and has maintained a 14-train layout at the Banner Desert Children’s Hospital in Mesa for the past 18 years. John Macrone is a proud member of The American Legion, the Association of the US Army, and the Disabled American Veterans.
