Biography

Born in Akron, Ohio, in 1943, Jim Cullison served as a weapons control officer in the US Air Force, and the Air National Guard in Ohio and Arizona, retiring in 1993 as a Lieutenant Colonel.  Jim’s civilian career was in communications and business development.  For the last eleven years, Jim volunteered over 1,400 hours sorting and delivering thousands of pounds of food boxes to inner city families for the St. Vincent de Paul Society.  From 2012 to 2017, Jim volunteered at the Maricopa County StandDown serving as a navigator guiding veterans to government agencies and other resources.  An active member of Arizona Chapter, Military Officers Association of America, Scottsdale, Jim Cullison has volunteered more than 5,000 hours leading and supporting the Chapter’s many activities including raising over $14,000 in support of the Chapter’s ROTC Scholarship Program and JROTC Awards Program.
