Biography

(1944-2021) Born in Roswell, New Mexico in 1944, Joe Briggs served six years in the Army as a Communication Specialist with the 41st Signal Company C in Vietnam and West Germany, and one year in the Army Reserve.

For the past eight years, Joe has volunteered countless hours at the Maricopa County Department of Public Health Office of Preparedness and Response Medical Reserve Corps, and the Maricopa Health Dept for Corona Virus where he attained the highest level of Ambassador.  Joe’s expertise in Realistic Wound Makeup assists in training for firefighters, medics, and Special Weapons and Tactics teams. Joe is a volunteer with Operation Welcome Home, and the Chandler and Gilbert Emergency Response Teams.  As Senior Operations and Programs Manager, Joe Briggs has volunteered over 1300 hours at the USO Arizona facility at Sky Harbor International Airport.
