Biography | (1948-2015) Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1948, Jim Fuller joined the US Marine Corps with service as a lance corporal, Infantry, in Vietnam. Jim actively supported the Marine Corps League, The American Legion, the Young Marines, and the ROTC and the JROTC programs. Jim was proudest of his efforts supporting and leading the MIA/Missing in America Project in Arizona. As Arizona State Director, he and his volunteers con-tacted mortuaries across Arizona, seeking unclaimed veteran cremains, contacting the veteran’s survivors, and arranging funeral services with full military honors. Working with a number of military organizations, veterans groups, Arizona Dept of Veterans’ Services, and the Dept of Veterans Affairs, Jim Fuller and his volunteers laid to rest hundreds of Arizona veterans in the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, Phoenix; the Southwest Arizona Veterans Cemetery, Fort Huachuca; and other cemeteries. |
