Biography

Born in Evansville, Indiana in 1935, Pat Patterson served several tours including overseas as a Senior Radio Interception Technician in the US Air Force.  Retiring from his supervisor position at Consolidated Rail Corporation (CONRAIL) in Detroit, Michigan, Pat relocated to Arizona and became a key member of The American Legion and the Yuma Chamber of Commerce Military Affairs Committee.  Serving the needs of Yuma County’s veterans and families, and youth, Pat has logged thousands of volunteer hours over the decades while wearing many leadership hats in Post 19, including Past Chef!  In 2020, as Post 19 Commander, Pat was recognized nationally as a major force in establishing Yuma County’s new 55-member Military Affairs Council.  Pat Patterson established and continues to champion to this day, the Yuma Crossroads Mission’s Homeless Fund and the Yuma Food Bank donations program.
