Biography

(1947-2023) Born in Brooklyn, NY, Geoff Davis served two years,1971-1973, as a First Lieutenant in the U.S. Army Medical Service Corps, creating alcohol and drug awareness programs at Fort Dix, NJ. After his military service, Geoff rose to become a Vice-President at Southwest Behavioral Health Services. He provided 20 years of recovery and crisis services, along with program development and management of over 200 staff. Geoff used his expertise advocating for veterans, serving on 9 VA mental health councils. He chaired the Phoenix Veterans Mental Health Advocacy Council from 2010-2023, and co-chaired the Phoenix VA Veterans and Family Advisory Council from 2014-2023. Geoff used these platforms to convey issues to VA Executive Leadership Teams and staff at the state and national level, along with community healthcare providers and agencies.
