Biography

(1954-2024) Born in Fairbanks, Alaska, Rick Mueller served as a Field Artillery Officer, US Army, retiring as a Major. His civilian career included serving as a Councilman and Mayor, Sierra Vista, Arizona. As Mayor, Rick’s advocacy was: Advisory Board, Salvation Army, Sierra Vista (2013-2023); President Rotary Club of Sierra Vista (2005), Board Member, Huachuca-50 (Fort Huachuca Advocacy 2000-2024); Representative, Chamber of Commerce Military Affairs Committee, Sierra Vista (2007-2022); President, University of Arizona South Foundation (2007). Veteran advocacy included supporting Coronado Chapter, MOAA (1996-2024). For 26 years, Rick championed the development of Sierra Vista as a regional center for medicine, education, technology, and commerce. He was a staunch supporter of the military and advocated many military issues in support of veterans and their families. His legacy will endure: “Mayor Rick” – Frederick W. Mueller, Forever Sierra Vista.
