Biography

Born in Mesa, Arizona in 1961, Darlene Tryon served 26 years in the US Air Force, including 5 combat tours in Operations Desert Storm and Iraqi Freedom, retiring in 2005 as Master Sergeant/Superintendent, Personnel and Evaluations, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio.

From 2007-2012 Darlene served as Program Support Specialist/Office Manager at the VA Veteran Center, Mesa, where she supported veterans in the planning and conducting of psychological programs, services, and activities.

Darlene has held an array of various volunteer positions to include Senior Vice Commander, POW/MIA/KIA Honor Guard, which renders military honors to our fallen; VFW District Senior Vice Commander, advocating on behalf of all veterans; and Committee Member with the Wreaths Across America and the Tempe 9/11 Healing Field Committees. Darlene Tryon is President-Elect of the Tempe Exchange Club which teaches Americanism to our youth.
