(1940-2013) Born in Dallas Texas in 1940. Infantry Officer, US 1940 Army, 1962-1983; Lieutenant Colonel, Retired 1983. Former employee, Cochise County, Arizona Government; former civil service employee, Fort Huachuca, Arizona. An active Freemason, he promotes Americanism and youth scholarship opportunities. Has advocated for and served veterans as a former member and Chairman, Arizona Veteran’s Service Advisory Commission, 2002-2008, and as a Founding Member, Greater Sierra Vista United Veterans’ Council. Continues to advocate for veterans as a nationally accredited Veterans Service Officer with the Dept of Veterans Affairs (VA), volunteering over 60 hours a month assisting veterans and their families. Currently serving as President, Southern Arizona Veterans Memorial Cemetery Foundation. Accomplishments include sponsoring 16 beautification projects inside the Veterans Cemetery and raising over $200,000 for other cemetery projects such as the carillon bell tower.
