Biography | (1932-2022) Born in Effingham, Illinois, in 1932. Served in Arizona National Guard, U.S. Navy, and commissioned in U.S. Marine Corps in 1954. Served in Korea and flew 1,080 combat missions in Vietnam. Retired as Lieutenant Colonel in 1972 with decorations including three Silver Stars, four Distinguished Flying Crosses. Graduated from ASU with a Bachelor of Science in Business. Active in the East Valley in real estate serving as president of the Board of Realtors in 1975; Past President of Tri-City Multiple Listing Service. President, Chandler United Way, 1975. Served on various medical facility boards since 1973 including nine years as Chairman of Chandler Regional Hospital Board of Directors, and Chairman of Arizona Hospital Federation. Active with American Hospital Association. Inducted in to the Arizona Aviation Hall of Fame, Tucson Aerospace Museum, 2000. Member of Veterans of Foreign Wars and Disabled American Veterans. |
