Biography

Born in Utica, New York in 1949, Carl Commenator served in the US Air Force, including one Vietnam tour, achieving the rank of Staff Sergeant.  Carl served twelve years on the Committee on Veterans’ Affairs, US House of Representatives, being appointed Chief Counsel and Staff Director in 1995 by the Committee Chairman, Congressman Bob Stump of Arizona.  Carl is the Vice President for Government Relations at Hydronalix, in Sahuarita, AZ, which manufactures small robotic surface vessels.  He and other employees volunteer helping search and rescue teams recover persons who have unfortunately drowned.  Carl Commenator is a Life Member of the VFW; 40-year member of The American Legion, Post 66; and active with the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association; raising funds benefiting Fisher House Tucson; Esperanza En Escalante, a transitional housing facility; and other Southern Arizona veteran charities.
