Biography

( 1947-2016) Born in Los Angeles, California, in 1947. Marine Corps Sgt, recipient of two Purple Heart awards, retired in 1969 due to combat wounds. Civilian background – real estate, and proprietor of Del Sol Company, Phoenix. Community service – YMCA; Primavera volunteer pre-kindergarten teacher. Served as Prescott Liaison for the Marine Corps Devil Pups for boys/girls ages 14-17. Reactivated the Yavapai College Veterans Club, and created an information web-site. As Disabled American Veterans Chaplain, established an outreach program for homeless veterans and their families. Organized “Shining Star” program, collecting donations, and re-donating motorized wheelchairs to veterans not VA-eligible in Arizona. Reactivated the Military Order of the Purple Heart Chapter 608. Awarded 520 North County Veterans with the Native American Warrior Medal of Valor. Active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
