| Biography | Born in Louisville, Kentucky, in 1967, Alan “AP” Powell served in the U.S. Army as a motor transport operator, with assignments at Fort Benning, Georgia; Operation Desert Storm; and Fort Knox, Kentucky. His civilian career includes leadership roles such as Vice President of The Firm in Los Angeles, California, and CEO of AP & Associates LLC in Phoenix. AP has contributed significantly to Arizona through civic service and veteran advocacy. He served on the Phoenix Military Veterans Commission, the Sky Harbor Aviation Advisory Board, the College of Security & Criminal Justice Industry Advisory Board, and the City of Phoenix African American Advisory Council. He currently serves with TGen (Translational Genomics Research Institute). AP Powell is also the Founder and President of the HeroZona Foundation which launched The Bridge Forum, a national initiative on veterans’ mental health. |
