Biography

(1910-2009) Born in Texas in 1910 and has lived in Arizona since 1919. Was employed from 1925-1936 by the Arizona Corporation Commission. Enrolled in the National Law School in Washington, D.C., while working during the day first for Senator Henry F. Ashurst and then for Senator Ernest W. McFarland. Admitted to practice law in 1941, and entered the Navy in April 1942. Military assignments included Washington, DC; New Delhi, India; and Chungking and Kunming, China. Following military service, was Deputy Maricopa County Attorney and later entered private practice. Longtime member of the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, AMVETS, Lions, Elks, and numerous associations related to the Arizona Bar. Instrumental in forming the Veterans Memorial Cemetery of Arizona Corporation for the purpose of establishing a veteran’s cemetery in Arizona. Has faithfully served the Arizona veteran population for almost 60 years.
