Biography

Born in Norristown, Pennsylvania in 1943, Zetty Kratz was commissioned Ensign, Naval Flight Officer in 1965, deployed to the Mediterranean Sea and Vietnam in fighter squadrons aboard USS KITTY HAWK and USS RANGER, retiring in 1987 as Executive Officer, Naval Air Station, Miramar, CA; with the rank of Commander. For the last 36 years, 1987-Present, Zetty has been mentoring young airmen living in the dorms at Williams AFB, Chandler Arizona; later relocating to Luke AFB. The Airmen’s Ministry Center nicknamed The Oasis is open nightly for Bible study and prayer groups. Zetty Kratz organizes activities on and off base (bowling, movies, paintball, tubing the Salt River, and leading 57 camping/hiking retreats to the Grand Canyon, Mount Lemmon, Dogtown Lake). Young airmen, soldiers, and Marines from Davis-Monthan AFB, Fort Huachuca, and Camp Pendleton have also joined in the activities.
