(1941-2022) Born in Boston, Massachusetts in 1941. “Gunner” joined the US Marine Corps in 1958 and retired in 1982 with rank of CWO4. Since 1978 Gunner has been very active in the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He progressed from Post Commander in 1979 to National Commander in Chief in 1994. He then served as VSO Liaison at the Veterans Administration from 1995-2005. Working tirelessly for the veterans of Arizona, to secure funding for Arizona Veterans Homes and to eliminate homelessness among Arizona veterans. Gunner also served as National Adjutant General of the Veterans of Foreign Wars from 2005-2013. During these years, Gunner returned every year to Vietnam, working with JPAC to locate the missing from that war. Gunner has always been committed to the veterans of Arizona, and will continue to do so.
