Biography

Born in Walla Walla, Washington in 1978, Adam Garrard served 20 years in aircraft maintenance, US Air Force, retiring in 2017, the same year that he started working for the Arizona Department of Economic Security as a Veterans Workforce Specialist currently in Globe, Winslow, Window Rock, Eager, and Show Low offices, where he provides individual career services such as job searches and job interview assistance, to veterans with designated barriers to employment.

Adam currently serves as the Post Commander for The American Legion Post 76 in Show Low, and Chair, Northeastern Arizona Veteran Organization Services (VSO) Round Table and the Navajo, Apache, Gila Tri-County Partnership for the Be Connected program which helps to identify and address issues facing local veterans. Adam Garrard founded Boy Scout Troop #706 and secured 6.5 acres of land for Scouting activities.
