Biography | Born in Tucson, Arizona in 1928, Al Crawford served 27 years as a Signal Officer, with his final assignment as the Commanding General of the US Army Electronics Command, retiring in 1976. Al chaired a special Commission on how to exploit digital technologies in Arizona, resulting in accelerated internet services in schools and rural regions of the state. He chaired a group for 8 years focused on enhancing the water quality and quantity in NE Arizona. Al served on the Board of the local United Way, a volunteer for the Paradise Valley Police Force, and a volunteer at the Maricopa County Veterans StandDown since 2014. A Life Member of AUSA, MOAA, NRA and the US Army Signal Regiment, Al Crawford continues to dedicate his life to serve his community, and fellow veterans and their families. |
