lampThe Arizona Veterans Hall of Fame Society created the Student Scholarship Program in 2007, to recognize high school students who volunteer their time at Veterans Administration facilities on the behalf of our veterans. NOTE: The Veterans Administration has not offered the volunteer program for High School students since the COVID-19 Pandemic, so while the Society may give more of these scholarships in the future, we have not awarded one since 2019.

In 2012, the Society expanded the Scholarship program and formally partnered with the nationally recognized Veterans Heritage Project (currently known as Imprints of Honor). Today, students representing 15 schools are working with hundreds of veterans to capture their individual stories and preserve them for all time. The Society awards three scholarships to outstanding high school seniors participating in the Imprints of Honor program each year.

The Society also has a very robust annual scholarship program that provides multiple unrestricted scholarships to honorably discharged veterans, family members of honorably discharged veterans, or currently serving members in good standing with a Reserve or National Guard unit who are attending institutions of higher learning within the state of Arizona.

More details regarding the AVHOFS Scholarship Program can be found on the “Scholarship” page of this website. Each year the Arizona Veterans Hall of Fame Society presents these scholarships at our annual Patriotic Awards Luncheon. Since inception of the AVHOFS Scholarship Program in 2007, over $250,000 in scholarships have been awarded to Arizona veteran and student scholars.

In order to continue the Arizona Veterans Hall of Fame Society’s Scholarship Program, we have set a goal to raise at least $12,000 annually from Hall of Fame member donations to the Century Club.  The Century Club is named after the Arizona Centennial, the year it was founded as a fund dedicated to supporting the AVHOFS Scholarship Program. The fund was initially created by members of the Board of Directors who each donated one hundred dollars for scholarship awards. Today, the fund graciously accepts contributions from donors in any amount to support our veteran and student scholarship programs.

If you prefer to donate by mail, please use our donation form.
