Biography

Born in St. Paul, Minnesota in 1948, Tom Day retired as a Chaplain (Colonel), Chaplain Corps, US Army with 32 years of service. His extensive community service includes volunteer Chaplain for many organizations: Canelo Cowboy Church; Race Track Chaplaincy of America – Arizona, Colorado, Wyoming and Ohio; Cochise Serving Veterans Resource Fairs; the Southern Arizona Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Sierra Vista, for the last ten years; the Warrant Officer Association Silver Chapter for the past twelve years; and part-time Chaplain and volunteer dispatcher, Sonoita-Elgin Fire District, Arizona; two major wildfires, 2,500 plus hours. An active leader since 2009 in Coronado Chapter, Military Officers Association of America in the roles of Chaplain, Newsletter Editor, Past President, and President, Tom Day’s service to the veteran community includes leading and supporting Chapter activities which foster community well-being.
