Biography

Born in San Ysidro, New Mexico in 1944, Sisto Sandoval served in the Arizona Army National Guard, 1961-1965; then he served in Vietnam including the Tet Offensives, 1968 and 1969. His civilian career was that of a Building Mechanical Inspector for the City of Los Angeles, Department of Buildings and Safety, retiring in 2001. Sisto is a leader in the Day Breakers Lions Club, the Knights of Columbus Council 6442, and Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church. As a certified CPR Instructor and Babysitting Instructor, he accomplished 1,000 volunteer hours. Sisto helps and supports veterans, including visits to nursing homes to comfort veterans, and providing ongoing support to the Veterans Treatment Court. An active member of many veterans organizations, including the American Legion, DAV, VFW, and VVA, Sisto Sandoval volunteers his energies every day.
