Born in Abilene, Kansas in 1950, Bob Walters enlisted in 1968 in the U.S. Air Force Security Forces, with service in Vietnam 1969-1970, and retiring in 1988. He served 17 years with the Las Vegas Police Department. An active fund raiser for Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 1043, Bob raised $18,000 for veterans in the greater Phoenix area. As Commander of Disabled American Veterans Chapter 24, he raised funds for numerous worthwhile causes. A Life Member of the Scottish American Military Society, and a member of the Northwest Valley Veterans Association, Bob serves on the Board for the Veterans Memorial Hall Committee currently planning a Veteran’s Memorial Hall in Surprise, AZ, the hub of eighteen veteran organizations in the Northwest Valley. Bob Walters has established fundraising avenues and grants to help make this dream come true.
