Biography | (1934-2001) Born in Pittston, Pennsylvania in 1934, raised in Maryland. Entered the U.S. Army at age 17, served and was wounded in Korea. Following his discharge, went to work for the federal government as a photographer, retired in 1970 as a result of his service-connected disabilities. Relocated to Arizona in 1973 and continued his community service efforts with little league baseball and as a volunteer driver for the VA Medical Center. Was very active in Disabled American Veterans in Mesa. Committed to homeless veterans programs and assisted in founding a half-way house foundation. Was involved with Mesa Veterans Day Parade for 28 years, and active in church activities. |
