(1921 – 2007) Born in North Kingston, Rhode Island.. Entered service in 1939, medically discharged from the U.S. Army in 1946 for wounds received in World War II. Retired as Captain, recipient of Silver Star and Purple Heart with Oak Leaf Cluster. Active membership in posts and chapters of the American Legion, DAV; VFW, Military Order of the Purple Heart, Northwest Valley Veterans Association, Forty and Eight Society of Legionnaires. Past president of Sun Dome Lions Club, member of Sun Cities Lions Foundation, and is a Lions Melvin Jones Fellow. Served two years as president of Sun City West AARP chapter, two terms as president of the Sun City West Italian Club, and two terms as president of the Texas Club. Active in Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Community on its Parish Council, building committee for a new church, and Planning Committee for Prince of Peace Church. Director of Altar Services for 12 years, Eucharistic Minister for eight years, and Parish Men’s Club Secretary for two years.
