Biography | (1927 – 2014) Born in Northville, Michigan in 1927. Inducted into the U.S. Army October 30, 1950. Arrived in Inchon, Korea with the 40th Infantry Division. Served eight months on Heart Break Ridge as a Demolition and Construction Specialist; received Bronze Star. Released from active military duty and transferred to Reserves for five years. Worked in various areas of aerospace program as a Quality Assurance Engineer in support of twenty-five shuttle launches at Kennedy Space Center from which he retired in 1993. Assisted in founding of Korean War Veterans Association of Arizona, West Valley Chapter and also served as State Commander. Life Member of VFW and DAV. Active member of Joe Foss Institute teaching students and Boy Scouts about the honor of service to country, understanding the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution, and flag etiquette. |
