Biography | (1913-2016) Born in Norwood, Ohio in 1913. Captain, U.S. Army WWII, Heavy Equipment Operator. Retired as Colonel, USAR in 1973. Served a 26 year Civilian career as Auditor with the U.S. Dept of Agriculture, retired 1972. In 1980, founded and led the East Valley Men’s Center which feeds and provides clothes to homeless men. Nineteen years ago, he established the Military Order of the World Wars, Apache Trail Chapter’s Massing of the Colors and Remembrance Service event. Supports Homebound people projects such as cooking meals at soup kitchens and helping homeless veterans. An active member of his church, he supported a food pantry and donated food and furniture to a subsidized housing community, provided meals at the Temporary Winter Shelter. Served as Communications Coordinator for a Habitat for Humanity project. |
