Biography | Born in Dover, New Hampshire in 1944, John served in the US Air Force for 26 years, including service as a forward air controller in Vietnam, a T-37 flight instructor, an AC-130 pilot, and in several research and development assignments. After retirement as a Colonel in 1993, John worked for L3 Communications for over ten years in flight training research and development. In 2012, John volunteered to refurbish the Veterans Outreach Center, a day center for homeless veterans, and support MANA House, a transitional living center for homeless veterans. From 2014 to the present, John founded and maintains the Veterans Court Mentor Project, a not-for-profit organization that recruits and trains volunteer mentors. As a senior mentor, he developed processes to monitor and assist veterans’ progress, and assist veterans needing emergency financial support. |
