Biography | Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1944, Gerry Schaller served in the U.S. Marine Corps for eight years, including a tour of duty in Kodiak, Alaska. Gerry retired from the Schaller Family Insurance Agency in 2012. Gerry actively supports veterans. In 2010, Gerry helped renovate Mary Ellen’s Place, which is affordable housing for women veterans. As Director, Veterans Advocate on Call; and as a Glendale Community College Veterans Coalition Advocate, Gerry helps veterans with rent and utilities assistance, food, and scholarships. As Commandant, Old Breed Detachment, Marine Corps League, Gerry helped raise $100,000 to help veterans in need. Gerry currently serves as Assistant Chair for the Project Veterans Pride James Walton Home which provides housing and support to at-risk veterans. Gerry is currently taking action to establish a Veterans Treatment Court in Glendale.
