Biography | Born in Fort Dodge, Iowa, in 1929. Enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1948, completed OCS in 1955. Highly decorated in Vietnam, retired as a Colonel of Infantry in 1980 at Ft. Huachuca. Received Real Estate Broker’s license in 1990. Since 1988, continuously served with Cochise County Workforce Development, Inc. to allocate funding for employment training for teens and adults. Selected by Cochise Superior Court for training as a mediator/arbitrator to reduce court calendars; reviewed more than 160 cases. Active in Military Officers Association of America and served two terms as Chapter President focusing on state and federal legislation. Successive appointments to Cochise County Planning and Zoning Commission, 1996-2007. Instrumental in the initial formation of the Center for Academic Success, Arizona certified K-12 charter schools in Sierra Vista and Douglas. Member of Fry Fire District Board. |
