Biography

Born in Pittsfield, Massachusetts in 1952, Christeen Verchot served in the US Air Force Nurse Corps for 21 years, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel. Christeen was instrumental in the establishment of Project Veterans Pride in Phoenix, a nonprofit organization founded to provide transitional housing and resources to homeless male veterans, helping them return to becoming self-sufficient, productive members of society. As the Executive Director of the James Walton Home Program in Phoenix, Christeen is deservedly proud to report that over 975 homeless male veterans were served, with the success rate of 90% of the male veterans transitioning to safe living housing. An active member and supporter member of organizations such as the CASA Veterans Ministry, Veterans First Limited, and Honor House, Christeen Verchot has donated over 14,000 volunteer hours to worthy causes, projects, and events.
