Born in Newport News, Virginia in 1949, Bud Watts served in the US Marine Corps, 1968-1969, as a squad leader in Vietnam. Bud is a retired Police Detective III, of the Los Angeles Police Department. Moving to Lake Havasu City in 2005, Bud joined the Marine Corps League serving as Commandant for two terms. From 2008 to present, Bud has served as Chairman of the Elks Lodge’ Veterans Committee, assisting local Veterans and obtaining gifts for every patient in the Prescott VA Hospital, for Christmas each year. In 2013, Bud was a founding member of the Veterans Resource Team that fulfills requests for Veterans’ needs, usually on the very same day. Bud worked to assist the local Veterans Court when it was founded in Lake Havasu. Bud Watts served as Commander of the Disabled American Veterans Chapter for 10 years.
