Biography

Born in Cleveland, Ohio in 1946, Anne Gartner served in the US Navy Nurse Corps for 32 years, including service aboard the USS SANCTUARY Hospital Ship, Vietnam; Keflavik, Iceland; and Operation Desert Shield/Storm, retiring as a Navy Captain in 1999. Anne retired from the U.S. Geological Survey, serving as Regional Management Officer, Science Officer, and Geologist.  Anne volunteers at Arizona Oncology Foundation Tucson, assisting patients being treated for cancer including appointments for integrative therapies, wigs and head coverings, and other support.  Anne is an active member of Tucson Rincon Rotary Club for twelve years, including eleven years as Chief Financial Officer, while supporting all Rotary activities and service projects.  Anne Gartner is an active member of Tucson Museum of Art where in 2019 during Gala, she helped to fundraise $12,000 to meet the Museum’s goals.
